ad Turns out I’m absolutely terrible at being a murderous werewolf… 🐺

We recently headed to @silentuproartheatre’s The Night of the Werewolves, an immersive theatre experience that’s basically The Traitors if it was a bit, smuttier, and involved a lot more villager-eating werewolves.

And yes... I was one of said murderous werewolves.

The SECOND I found out, I became convinced everyone could tell. It’s surprisingly hard to act normal when you’re THINKING about acting normal. 💁‍♀️

Meanwhile, there was absolute chaos as villagers set one another on fire to try and identify the bloodthirsty killers. It was hilarious, completely ridiculous, and one of the most unique nights out I’ve had in ages.

It’s running monthly at the @fruitmarkethull pop-up throughout the year, and I’d genuinely do it all over again... although perhaps next time as someone with a slightly less guilty conscience. 👀😂

It’s been a whole week since coming home from our child-free holiday (yes, CHILD-FREE) to Tunisia, and yet it feels like a liiiiifetime ago.

I could actually read a book from start to finish without having to peer over the pages every 30 seconds to check little ones hadn’t wandered off. I even had little afternoon naps. ACTUAL NAPS. 😍

And we didn’t leave the resort from start to finish.

The hotel itself was lush. The food was UNREAL. There were drinks brought over to our loungers whenever we wanted. And the staff were just flippin’ fantastic.

And while I love the kiddos with every fibre of my being, it was quite bloody magical to spend a whole week only being responsible for locating my next cocktail and deciding whether I wanted to dig into another chapter or close my eyes for an hour or so.

Yes, I FIIIINALLY made it to see their Wizard of Oz Christmas displays and I’m so bloomin’ glad I did.

I’ve been wanting to see it ever since the first press images dropped well before Christmas, but December absolutely flew by (as it always does), so I squeezed in a spontaneous visit on New Year’s Day instead. 😍 The house has been completely transformed into the world of Oz, with beautttt projections, soundscapes and little details everywhere you look.

Rupert was totally enchanted by it all, and even left with his own Cowardly Lion teddy 🦁

We popped into the newly refurbished @stonehousepizza Lambwath, and it had quite the glow-up! It’s cosy, it’s comfortable, and made for the perfect place to sit back and stuff our faces as a family. 🤤

The food was UNREAL. Beer-battered mushrooms and mozzarella garlic bread to start, then mountains of carvery for Mark and Koda, the FRANK’s Buffalo Burger for me, and Rupert absolutely demolished a margherita pizza. And yes… we did get desserts too. It would have been rude not to, right? 🤷‍♀️

With lovely welcoming staff, an incredible new look, and lots to keep the kiddies entertained between courses, it really is the perfect place for a chilled family dinner when you want to treat yourselves... or simply can’t be bothered to cook! 👀

This year’s theme is The Snowman’s Ball, and it’s basically one big magical walk full of glowing tunnels, giant baubles, a gorgeous light show, and cute festive characters along the way who’ll help you get ready for the ball. ⛄️

Despite the rain and cold, the kids were still buzzing with it all! We enjoyed tasty mince pies, marshmallow-topped hot choccies, and the whole thing felt like stepping into a Christmas story. Wholesome vibes all round. 🥰

ad. If you needed a sign to book a festive feasting sesh, this is it 🤤✨

We headed out to try the Christmas menu at @sleepersbar and ohhhh my goodness… every single dish was BANGIN’. Full-on festive magic for your tastebuds, ya know what I’m sayin’ 🤌🎄

We basically ate our way through the entire menu, so here’s the lowdown…

✨ STARTERS. We chowed down on tomato soup (cosy, Christmas-in-a-bowl vibes 🍅), ham hock terrine (salty, sweet, figgy perfection with sourdough), chorizo & mozzarella arancini (just YUM) and prawn and crayfish cocktail… classic, boujee, and tasty!

✨ MAINS. A Traditional Christmas roast… basically everything you want on one plate. Pigs in blankets? Stuffing? Double carbs? YES. The festive chicken burger, a creamy, truffle-y wild mushroom risotto, and tender Sirloin steak all made an appearance too. Clean plates all round.

✨ DESSERTS. Biscoff cheesecake, Christmas strudel, white choc and black cherry blondie, and rum raisin ice cream. Need I say any more?!

We also worked our way through cocktails AND shots (because it would have been rude not to, obviously) 🍸🥃

The venue is lush, the staff were fabulous, and we had such a gorgeous night, so if you’re looking for somewhere festive to eat, drink, be merry, and roll home with a full tummy after… Sleepers is IT. 🙌

Mundo Pixar is finally coming to London, and I am SUUUPER excited about it! 🥹

We visited the exhibition in Brussels over the summer, and ohhhh my goodness it was MAGICALLLL. Life-size sets, immersive rooms, incredible attention to detail… it had it ALL. We shrunk down to toy size in Andy’s room, ran through the streets of Santa Cecilia, and floated around with Nemo and Dory. The combination of the nostalgic music, Rupert’s excitement, and basically being in one giant Disney Pixar movie for the day got me feeling rather emosh 😍

And you can now rejoice, Pixar fans… it’s coming to London in 2026! 🥳 And YES I will be making another visit, ofccc.

If you find yourself looking for things to do in London early next year, especially with the kids, then get this on your list. You won’t regret it 👏

Head to York this autumn and you might spot some beautiful ghostly figures lurking in the gardens… 👻🍂

@the_york_bid’s Ghosts in the Gardens has returned, and we couldn’t resist heading out for a bit of spooky spotting at the weekend. 👀

We didn’t manage the full trail this time (our day was already jam-packed), but we LOOOVED finding the few that we did, and we’ll DEFINITELY be heading back to find the rest.

The ghosts themselves are incredible. Silvery, life-sized figures that look like they’ve drifted straight out of another time. Some peer out from behind trees, others float above the Shambles, and they all look hauntingly beautiful. 🥰

Such a fun, free activity for families, and it runs until November, so there’s plentyyyy of time for you to get yourself there too. 👀

We all LOVED it. The kids couldn’t get enough of the interactive light projections, the hands-on sensory play, and seeing themselves pop up on the walls. And us adults loved it just as much!

We’ll be back this weekend to say goodbye, and I reckon you should get yourselves there too! It’s free. It’s family-friendly. And it’s dead good fun. No brainer! 🤷‍♀️

You know when food is so good you make sound effects with every single bite?! 🤤🍜

I wasn’t planning on posting about this one as me and Mark simply went to enjoy it on a rare child-free afternoon, but honestly… @oishii.ne.afc in Paragon Arcade was 👏 SO 👏 FKIN 👏 GOOOOOD. 🔥

We went all in with tonkotsu ramen (mine was FIERY and DELISHHHH), karaage fried chicken, pork gyoza, and a couple of cocktails (and yes, mine even came with a free Pokémon card 🥹)

Every single bite was unreal. Basically, 10/10, no notes. GETTING MYSELF BACK THERE ASAP. 🥢

The vibe is v v cool, the decor is fab, and while we’re not vegan, the food was unnnreal. The boys and I demolished stacks of pancakes while Mark tucked into a vegan breakfast muffin that even he (the ultimate meat-lover) gave a solid 10/10.

Microworld at @ferensartgallery is honestly one of the most fun (and free!) things we’ve done with the boys in ages. And there’s all sorts there…
✨ Floor-to-ceiling light displays that react to your movement
🧪 A sensory Microlab where the kids can play scientist or astronaut
🖍️ Huge bean bags and colouring stations for a little downtime/creativity

It’s fully interactive, completely family-friendly, and here in Hull until 7 September - and yes, we’re already planning to go back before it leaves. 👏

We finally tried the Coffee & Pancake Club at @junksoulsmothered in Beverley (Saturdays and Sundays, 10–12pm, if you’re wondering!) and ohhh my goodness. What a treat. 🥞

The vibe is v v cool, the decor is fab, and while we’re not vegan, the food was unnnreal. The boys and I demolished stacks of pancakes while Mark tucked into a vegan breakfast muffin that even he (the ultimate meat-lover) gave a solid 10/10.

It’s such a lovely, relaxed way to spend a morning, great coffee, a cosy space, and food that’ll you forget is even vegan. 😍 If you’re in or around Beverley, I’d 100% recommend heading down one weekend and giving it a go!

Already we can’t wait to be back. Vegan Sunday lunch or vegan burgers on the agenda next for us, I reckon! 🫡

We’ve unexpectedly lost my darling, gorgeous girl

We’ve unexpectedly lost my darling, gorgeous girl Marmite this weekend, and my heart is utterly shattered. 😭🐈

I adopted this beautiful girl to combat loneliness, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect cat. She was so incredibly loving, and was exactly what I needed in my life. She spent the last three and half years keeping my lap warm, sleeping across my baby bump when I was pregnant, sitting on my shoulders like a parrot during meetings, and generally bringing sunshine into each and every room she followed me into.

And now she’s gone so suddenly. And I am a mess.

My heart is breaking with every little piece of her I spot around the house, and there’s a hole in both my heart and my home.

Marmite, I couldn’t have asked for better. I just wish I could have asked for longer. Missing you immensely already, girlypops. 🖤🧡
